Arkel Constructors completed the 110,382-square-foot renovation project to Highland& Evangeline Hall in 2020. The 4-story Highland Hall building and attic space required a complete demolition and renovation of the interior with the only remaining structures being the exterior wall, structural columns, slabs, and stairs. The 5-story Evangeline Hall building included a basement and attic space and called for a complete demolition and renovation of the interior with the only remaining structures being the exterior wall, structural columns, slabs and stairs. Along with the interior renovations to both halls, other scopes included removing a portion of the existing roof to install a new mechanical unit, the installation of new elevators, refinishing the existing terrazzo flooring, and cleaning and patching the existing facade.
