Arkel Constructors began construction for a 9,000-sf. restaurant located on the campus of Louisiana State University, even as other contractors said the schedule was unreasonable and could not be met. Arkel’s project team accepted the challenge and six months later delivered this first-class facility to the Owner - two weeks ahead of schedule and in time for the first LSU football game of the season. The project’s ground-up construction was the first project completed in the commercial development and set the construction standard in the area. The interior construction is one of the most widely recognized and admired interiors in the Baton Rouge restaurant market.
