The Albemarle Hangar is a 14,500 square foot metal building designed to house an airplane and administrative faculty. The administrative area includes a conference room, pilot offices, a kitchen, and common areas. The airplane bay includes a machine tool area, storage area, tilt-up overhead door system, and a high-performance epoxy floor with a glossy urethane topcoat, which gives the floors a long-lasting shine and protection for any chemicals in the facility. Utilizing a design/build method and a fast-track schedule, this project was successfully completed on time and within the owner's budget.
