Amedisys – Old Headquarters Facility

Arkel Constructors began renovations to the old Schwegmann’s grocery store in July 2006 and completed the project on time to meet the company’s accelerated move-in schedule. In order to meet the deadline, our project management team worked diligently to coordinate the production flow. Even with the intense deadline, quality was never jeopardized. Our team transformed a rundown grocery store into a landmark building and corporate headquarters for the booming Fortune 500 company. Working with Grace & Hebert Architects, the 140,000-square-foot complex required a complete exterior facelift and addition along with an interior renovation to create an eclectic yet efficient work environment for the company’s workforce. Arkel Constructors success hinged on a dedicated project team and their strong subcontractor relations. The Amedisys building has since become another landmark icon in the local community, one we are proud to be a part of.
